The Shadyside Action Coalition
The Shadyside Action Coalition is made up of people like you – homeowners and renters – Shadyside residents who have an interest in maintaining and improving the quality of life in our eclectic neighborhood.
Frequently referred to by our acronym, “SAC”, we’ve been a part of Shadyside for over 35 years, and we are still going strong!
We meet on the second Thursday of each month and offer information about our community (projects, events, statistics) and assist Shadyside residents in dealing with neighborhood issues. Meetings are open to the public, and everyone is invited to attend and participate. See our meeting schedule on the “Get Involved” page.

What does the Shadyside Action Coalition do?
- Assists neighbors in resolving zoning and other issues through mediation, shared experiences and support as appropriate
- Encourages and facilitates discussions between developers and residents regarding proposed projects in our neighborhood
- Promotes awareness of public safety and crime prevention in our community
- Contributes to local charitable projects as part of our “giving back to the community” initiative
- Celebrates the neighborhood through our annual fundraiser, the Shadyside House Tour
- Keeps Shadyside Action Coalition members informed on current neighborhood and City issues
