The Shadyside Action Coalition (SAC) advocates neighborhood self determination. We are a network of neighbors in Shadyside with experience from the past and perspective on the future. We offer counsel in the present and cooperate with other neighborhood organizations with common interests.
As a viable organization, we strive to be representative of Shadyside, fiscally sound and credible and accountable in conducting all of our affairs.
Our mission includes:
- Assisting neighbors in resolving quality of life issues by providing technical support and public testimony as appropriate
- Encouraging and facilitating discussions between developers and affected neighbors regarding proposed development projects
- Promoting awareness of public safety and crime prevention in our community
- Offering programs and events to increase membership and participation in SAC
